Let me safely guide you to one exiting and long journey where you are the starting point and final destination. Restore your body, come to your berth with my gentle 90 minutes sequence that aims to relax and rejuvenate.
You can find us every Tuesday and Thursday form 16.00- 17.30.
Few things to know before your first class with us:
• New to Yoga – No Problem
• Head to the studio at least 10 minutes before the scheduled class in case there’s paperwork to fill out or to discuss something whit us.
• We have all necessary props Just come in sports attire.
• Breath is everything
Restorative yoga – excellent antidote to stress
Two subdivisions of our nervous system are the sympathetic and parasympathetic. They exist in antagonist relationship and maintaining a good balance between them is key to wellness living.
Our modern society and life demands on us a lot. The new wave person is multitasker. But being always “ON” decreases our ability to Relaxation Response.
The physical activity is a great step to promote health and lower stress levels, but not enough. One way to switch to “rest and digest mode” is attending restorative yoga class.
What is restorative yoga?
Modern yoga is an active practice in which you move from pose to pose, building heat and increasing your strength and flexibility in equal measure. The general trend in yoga is toward more athletic and acrobatic styles of practice.
Restorative yoga is different. It’s about slowing down and opening the body through passive gentle stretching. During these long holds (3-5 minutes), your muscles relax deeply. Another important part of the class are breathing techniques which are aiming to quiet the mind. Props are used to support your body and help you feel comfortable in every pose.
Restorative yoga is beneficial and suitable for everybody – because it’s gentle, moves the spine in all directions, and stretches usually stiff parts of our body like shoulders, hamstrings, gluteal muscles.
